At Diggers we have worked hard to build a genuinely hardworking and professional team who a well qualified and enthusiastic about helping to give children the best start in life.
All our staff are DBS checked and first aid trained. They also undertake safeguarding plus food and hygiene training as part of our induction process. Our hold various qualifications from level 2 to level 6 including Forest School training.
Our inspiration and figurehead, Caroline launched Diggers from scratch in 2007. Her vision and determination have created something truly special, giving children positive experiences and confidence that will stay with them for life. Always positive and cheerful, and despite suffering a major stroke in 2013 Caroline has an infectious enthusiasm for life that keeps us all going.
Sharon Bowell is business and management degree trained with 28 years experience in the childcare sector ranging from home childminding, pack away pre-schools, full day care, area manager and business manager. She led her last nursery from good to outstanding and thrived on the challenge. Sharon loves the great outdoors and is a keen dog walker and camper and is looking forward to being able to share her time between her desk and the fresh air whilst having some fun with the children as they learn through play.
Meet our new Forest School Assistant Billy Bean (AKA Billy Bear )
Billy has a long Maritime career history, a MA in adult Ed and the Level 3 Forest School qualification. His interests include cycling, bush-craft, camping, water-colour painting and decorative rope work. Billy loves the great outdoors and the children really benefit from having him around each and every day.
Alex deals with the day to day running of the Nursery to ensure that everything runs smoothly. When time allows he likes assisting during sessions and maintaining the beauty of Church Farm for the children to enjoy.
